Don't be cruel, animals rule!

 Hello everyone!

Last time I wrote about animal testing, and today I wanted to talk about people having pets and then not looking after them properly, or even being cruel to them. 

Sometimes people think they're being nice to let an animal live in their home, but actually they might not be looking after the animal properly. For example not giving it enough exercise, or toys, so its bored all the time, which can lead to bad habits. Sometimes they might not have enough money for an animal at all, but they still have one. 

Then there's people who are really cruel. Some people put hats on their pets to take photos to get likes on social media. Some people hurt their animals on purpose.

There's also some puppy breeders who just want to make money, and end up not thinking about the dogs health.

How to help:

If you see anyone doing anything cruel to an animal, you should speak up. Even if you get it wrong, at least you have tried.

If you have any pets at home, make sure you are treating them properly and find out a lot about them to make sure you are treating them right.

Support charities that look after mistreated animals such as RSPCA, JSPCA. You can donate money, or you could volunteer at a local shelter. Or you could even rehome an animal: but make sure you have completely thought it through and can definitely support all of the animals needs.

    You’re absolutely right Meadow Joy, having a pet is a huge responsibility and lots of thought and research is needed before deciding to give an animal a home

Welcome!

 Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog! I am very excited to write this and I hope you are enjoying reading it! This blog is going to have monthly causes, a cause for every month. A cause is something that is wrong in the world and needs to be fixed, like climate change, or maybe animal cruelty.
