Save our furry friends! This is how it ends :(

 Hello everyone,
As you probably know, this month's cause is animal cruelty and today we're going to be looking into animal testing.
Millions of animals are poisoned, blinded, and killed each year in cruel experiments so that companies can test their products such as medicines and cosmetics.

Since 1998 there has been a ban against testing beauty products and cosmetics on animals.

BUT did you know that they've started letting a few companies test cosmetics on animals all over again?

This is terrible - because we've already got millions of cosmetic products, and we don't need anymore, and we don't need them to be tested on animals. It's not fair on the animals, because if the animals could speak, then they would be screaming 'no!'. Animals don't do this to us - so why are we doing it to them? And how is their life worth any less than human lives?

What can we do to help?
Instead of buying cosmetics, like lip balm or skincare, you can buy a 'make at home' set with safe ingredients, or you can buy brands that are definitely animal cruelty free (they might have an icon that tells you they are not tested on animals).

What do you think about animal testing, and do you have any ideas on how to help? Put it in the comments!

Thank you,
Meadow Joy xxx

  1. Totally agree. We should be treating animal life with far more respect than we currently do. If they could only speak we might think twice about some of the things that we humans do to them, especially in relation to unnecessary cosmetic products.

  2. Thanks! I agree, if animals could speak it'd be a different situation.

  3. You’re so right Meadow Joy, we need to think before we buy and choose from the many products available that are cruelty free - look out for the leaping bunny logo
